Missed Call Revenue Calculator

Every call you do not answer is a customer who may call the next company on the list. Enter your numbers to see what unanswered calls cost you per month and per year.

All incoming calls from customers and leads.
%
Unanswered because you are busy or closed.
%
They call a competitor instead of waiting.
$
Revenue per customer you win.
%
Share of callers who hire you when you do answer.

The values shown are examples. Every assumption is editable, so replace them with your own.

You are losing about
$7,020/month
Per year$84,240
Per week$1,620
Calls missed per week15
Jobs lost per week3.6
50 calls x 30% missed x 60% go elsewhere x 40% close x $450 per job = $1,620/week, x 52 / 12 = $7,020/month

How to use this tool

  1. Enter your callsType how many calls you get in a typical week and what share you miss.
  2. Set your assumptionsAdjust how many missed callers go elsewhere, your close rate and your average job value.
  3. Read the resultSee your lost revenue per month and per year, then decide what an answered call is worth.

How we calculate it

  1. Missed calls per week = calls per week × missed %
  2. Lost callers per week = missed calls × % who go elsewhere
  3. Lost jobs per week = lost callers × close rate
  4. Lost revenue per week = lost jobs × average job value
  5. Per month = weekly × 52 ÷ 12  ·  Per year = weekly × 52

Example with the defaults: 50 × 30% = 15 missed calls; 15 × 60% = 9 callers lost; 9 × 40% = 3.6 jobs; 3.6 × $450 = $1,620 per week, which is $7,020 per month and $84,240 per year. These are estimates from the numbers you enter, not measured results.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate the revenue I lose from missed calls?
Multiply your weekly calls by the share you miss, then by the share of those callers who hire someone else, then by your close rate and your average job value. That gives weekly lost revenue; multiply by 52 for the year or by 52 and divide by 12 for a month. The calculator above does it live and shows every step.
What missed-call percentage should I enter?
Use your own phone history. Count the calls you did not pick up over a normal week and divide by total incoming calls. The default of 30% is only an example, not an industry statistic, so replace it with your real number.
Why only count callers who go elsewhere?
Not every missed caller is lost. Some leave a message and wait, or you call them back first. Only the callers who ring a competitor instead are revenue you never get a chance to quote. If you are unsure, start at 50% and adjust after you track your callbacks for a few weeks.
Should I use revenue or profit per job?
The calculator uses average job value (revenue). If you want a more cautious figure, enter your average gross profit per job instead and the result becomes lost profit.
Will an answering service win these calls back?
No tool can promise to recover every call, but a call that is answered can no longer be missed. DIPAZE picks up the calls you do not answer, finds out what the caller needs and texts you the job. Setup uses call forwarding, so your phone rings first and only unanswered calls go to DIPAZE.
Is my data stored or sent anywhere?
No. The math runs in your browser and nothing you type is uploaded. We only count anonymous usage events (such as which tool was opened) to see which tools are useful.
