How the wording is built

Each day gets one of three states: closed, open between two times, or open 24 hours. Days with identical hours are grouped. Three or more consecutive days become a range ("Monday through Friday"), shorter runs are listed by name, and days with the same hours that are not next to each other share one group ("Monday, Wednesday and Friday"). Closed days are listed last.

Times are written in 12-hour form without extra zeros: 8 AM, 1:30 PM. 12:00 AM is written "midnight" and 12:00 PM "noon". A closing time earlier than the opening time is read as the next morning. Open and close at the same time (other than midnight) is treated as closed, and the tool tells you.

Frequently asked questions

What should my voicemail say about my hours?
Your hours in one sentence, then what to do outside them: leave a name, a number and a short message, and when you will call back. Keep it under about 20 seconds so callers do not hang up before the beep.
How do I write hours that cross midnight?
Enter the closing time as the next-morning time, for example 6 PM to 2 AM. The tool adds "the next morning" so the wording is clear. Note that it reads the closing time as belonging to the day you opened.
How do I say I am open 24 hours?
Choose the 24/7 preset, or set both the open and close times to 12:00 AM on a day. If every day is 24 hours the message says "24 hours a day, 7 days a week", and a single 24-hour day reads "open 24 hours".
Where do my hours go on Google?
Google shows the hours from the Hours section of your Business Profile, and that is the one to keep accurate. The line this tool writes for the description is a supplement for people who read it. Set special hours for holidays in the same Hours section.
Should I include a time zone?
If you serve customers in more than one time zone, or take calls from out of town, yes: add it as a label like Central Time and it is appended once as "All times are Central Time". If everyone you serve is local, you can leave it blank.
Can I enter a lunch break or two shifts in one day?
Not in the day editor, which takes one open and one close per day. Enter the full span, then add the break to the copied text, for example "closed daily 12 PM to 1 PM".
What do I do about calls and texts outside my hours?
Answer them. DIPAZE answers your calls 24/7, finds out what the caller needs and texts you the job, so the hours you publish describe when you are on site, not when you are reachable. You keep your own number.
