Printable Wi-Fi QR Code Sign
Make a printable sign with a QR code that connects guests to your Wi-Fi, ready for a wall, a counter stand or a waiting room.
What goes inside the code
The code holds one line of text in the standard Wi-Fi format: WIFI:T:WPA;S:YourNetwork;P:YourPassword;H:false;;. T is the security type (WPA, WEP or nopass), S the network name, P the password and H whether the network is hidden. The characters \ ; , : " in the name or password are escaped with a backslash so phones do not read them as separators.
Anyone who can scan the code can join the network, so put a guest network on the sign, not the one your business devices use. Need other kinds of codes (links, contacts, text)? Use the QR Code Generator.

Frequently asked questions
Where should I put a Wi-Fi QR code sign?
Put it where guests wait or sit: a counter, a waiting room wall, a table stand or the front desk. Print it large enough to scan from where people stand, keep it out of glare, and test it from that distance with a phone before you leave it up. Replace it when you change the password.
Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?
No. The QR code is drawn in your browser by code on this page. Your network name and password are not sent to DIPAZE or anyone else, are not saved and are not added to the page address. Once the page has loaded, the generator keeps working even with the internet turned off.
What happens if I change my Wi-Fi password?
The old code stops working, because the password is stored inside the code itself. Make a new code and print a new sign whenever you change the password. A separate guest network lets you change the guest password without touching the network your business devices use.
How does a Wi-Fi QR code work?
The code holds your network name, security type and password in a standard text format that starts with WIFI:. Current iPhone and Android cameras recognize it and offer to join the network. If a phone does not, the guest can still type the network name and password, so print them on the sign if you like.
